Rabbit Films has secured global distribution rights to Camp North (original title: Suuri seikkailu, 10 x 90’), the premium adventure reality format currently airing in primetime on Nelonen Finland.
Produced by Fremantle Finland and set against the cinematic landscapes of Finnish Lapland, Camp North follows 16 celebrities in a high-intensity competition that combines physical endurance, social strategy and psychological gameplay in a demanding wilderness environment. Filmed over four weeks, the format sees contestants living in primitive conditions without modern comforts, relying on resilience, adaptability and survival skills to remain in the game.
Originally launched in Finland in 2001, Camp North returned in 2024 as a major primetime event, re-establishing the format as one of the country’s most recognisable adventure reality brands. Since its relaunch, two successful seasons of the new version have aired, both delivering solid performance for Nelonen in their slot and attracting a broad commercial audience, demonstrating both strong nostalgic appeal and relevance for contemporary viewers. A third season is currently in post-production.

The distribution agreement marks a first strategic collaboration between Rabbit Films and Fremantle Finland, reflecting a broader and more flexible approach to global format exploitation, particularly for non-English-language originating IP.
With Camp North, Rabbit Films continues to expand its international slate of scalable, returnable adventure reality formats, including Ultimate Escape, Over the Atlantic, and The Ultimate Expedition. The format can be produced as a local adaptation or as a hub production in Finland’s Lapland region, making it suitable for a wide range of broadcasters and platforms.
