We are delighted to welcome Finnish psychological thriller Healer (original title: Parantaja, 6 x 45’) to our international scripted slate.
Produced by Fire Monkey for Elisa Viihde, Healer follows Emma, a respected surgeon whose career and identity collapse after a fatal medical error. Seeking refuge from the public fallout and the threats that follow, she moves with her family to Suomenlinna, an idyllic fortress island off the coast of Helsinki.
There, Emma meets Roosa, a charismatic wellness guru whose yoga collective offers an alluring alternative to the scientific certainty that once defined her life. When Emma begins to believe that her touch can cure people, she is drawn deeper into Roosa’s world. But as her past follows her to the island, the promise of a fresh start becomes increasingly dangerous and the line between healing, manipulation and control begins to disappear.
Created and written by Laura Suhonen and directed by Marja Pyykkö, the series stars Lotta Kaihua, Mimosa Willamo, Jussi Nikkilä, Lauri Tilkanen, Petteri Summanen and Stella Leppikorpi.

Fire Monkey’s internationally distributed drama credits include White Wall, Bad Apples, Enemy of the People, California Commando and Seconds. The company was co-founded by veteran producers Roope Lehtinen and Mikko Pöllä, whose previous scripted successes include the internationally adapted Black Widows and Easy Living.
Rabbit Films represents Healer as both a finished series and a scripted format, with rights available worldwide excluding Finland and Estonia.
