Director, screenwriter and actor Jani Volanen leads Rabbit Film’s scripted entertainment and drama development as the Head of Scripted Entertainment.
CEO Olli Suominen says this recruitment is a natural part of Rabbit Films’ internationalization strategy.
– We have a strong orientation towards the international markets and believe that only the very best content can survive in the harsh competitive situation of today. Therefore, we want the best leader in Finland to this new area of development. Our strategy in scripted is the same as we have in entertainment – we make hits in Finland and then we go global with them, Suominen says.
Jani Volanen has directed and written several cult series in Finland and as actor, starred in many films and countless television series.
– Volanen is an ambitious professional and an eccentric thinker. He is one of the most prestigious performes, directors and screenwriters in Finland – and also known for his high work ethics. We believe that together we shall make something very unique in the scripted entertainmena – either in good or bad!, Olli Suominen says.
