After a fatal medical error destroys her career, respected surgeon Emma (Lotta Kaihua) moves with her family to an idyllic remote island, hoping to escape the public fallout and threats that followed. There she falls under the spell of Roosa (Mimosa Willamo), a charismatic wellness guru whose yoga collective offers an alluring alternative to the scientific certainty that once defined her. As Emma begins to believe that her touch can cure people, she is drawn deeper into Roosa’s world. When the husband of her deceased patient arrives on the island, the promise of healing turns increasingly dangerous and the line between faith, manipulation and murder begins to disappear.

In the late 1980s, 16-year-old Lola, arrives in Munkkivuori, a quiet Helsinki neighborhood. Having fled her substance-abusing uncle in a rough suburb, she is an outsider – poor, untamed, and magnetic – quickly shaking up local teen cliques.
Lola befriends Nina, who convinces her family to take her in. Together, they live their dream summer: endless parties, sunbathing, and saving for a promised trip. But Lola hides a secret job she won’t reveal. When she comes between Nina and her boyfriend Pete, their friendship fractures – and soon after, Lola disappears. At first, everyone assumes she ran off with a local rock band, as she dreamed. But in autumn, Pete discovers her clothes and wallet abandoned in the forest. Adults dismiss it, but the teens sense something terrible has happened – closer and darker than they could imagine.

Basic Bitch: The Outskirts is a comedy series about four friends in their early 20s – Lotta, Nico, Marie and Sunniva – who find their way through small and large disasters on their way to adulthood. While the rest of the group has started law school in Oslo and business in Copenhagen, the girls still live in the outskirts and are trying to figure out who they want to be. They want to be “strong, independent women” – it’s just a bit tiring to be that way all the time.

The left-wing radicals crash land on the west side of Oslo, fighting capitalists, social democrats, cable TV and growing right-wing sentiments. We are following the Ihle family as they navigate changing times, teenage milestones, and political shifts. Siri (Pernille Sørensen) gets a new job at Dagsrevyen, while Ole Martin (Tobias Solli Kaarfald) turns 13 and deals with growing up, and Simone (Cala Holmboe) faces new teenage challenges.
